Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of Tutoring Point services, including centre classes, home tuition, online tuition, demo sessions, and related support services.
Important: Once a paid real class is booked, scheduled, or started, the fee is generally non-refundable. If there is a service concern, Tutoring Point will first attempt resolution by appointing the best available replacement teacher or by making a reasonable service adjustment.
1. Acceptance of Terms
- By enrolling a student, booking a class, paying fees, using our website, or continuing to use our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
- If a parent or guardian enrolls a minor student, that parent or guardian accepts these terms on behalf of the student.
- These terms apply to all service modes unless a written service-specific arrangement states otherwise.
2. Enrollment and Service Start
- Enrollment is considered confirmed only after required details are submitted and the applicable fee or advance payment is received.
- Demo classes, counseling calls, and teacher matching discussions do not create a permanent teacher allocation unless confirmed by Tutoring Point.
- Tutoring Point may decline, pause, or discontinue onboarding where information is incomplete, misleading, unsafe, or operationally unsuitable.
3. Fees and Payments
- All fees must be paid through official Tutoring Point channels only. Direct cash or private transfers to teachers are not allowed unless expressly approved in writing by Tutoring Point.
- Fees, advance payments, registration charges, travel charges, technology charges, or convenience charges, if applicable, must be paid by the due date communicated to the parent or guardian.
- Delayed payment may lead to class rescheduling, suspension of service, reassignment of teacher, or cancellation of the slot.
- Fees quoted on the website may change from time to time, but confirmed fees for an active cycle remain subject to the agreed plan unless revised with notice.
4. Scheduling, Attendance, and Rescheduling
- Class schedules depend on tutor availability, subject requirements, location, batch capacity, and operational feasibility.
- Parents and students must be available at the agreed class time. Repeated last-minute cancellations, no-shows, or long unavailability may lead to slot loss without fee reversal.
- Tutoring Point may reschedule classes where necessary due to tutor illness, emergencies, travel issues, technical disruption, or safety concerns.
- Make-up classes are subject to academic practicality, teacher availability, and the student's continuity needs. Make-up classes are not guaranteed in every case.
5. Teacher Allocation and Replacement
- Tutoring Point reserves the right to assign, reassign, rotate, or replace a teacher whenever required for quality control, student fit, scheduling, conduct, safety, performance, or operational reasons.
- If a parent is dissatisfied with a teacher, Tutoring Point may review the concern and, where appropriate, appoint the best available replacement teacher within a reasonable time.
- Teacher replacement is the primary remedy for service dissatisfaction after class booking. A parent cannot insist on refund merely because a preferred teacher is unavailable.
- Tutoring Point does not guarantee permanent continuity with any specific individual teacher.
6. Strict Refund Policy
- No refund after booking of a paid real class: once a paid class is booked, scheduled, confirmed for commencement, or delivered, the amount paid becomes non-refundable in the ordinary course.
- Service resolution first: where there is dissatisfaction relating to teacher fit, method, punctuality, or communication, Tutoring Point will first attempt to resolve the matter through review, schedule correction, or best-available teacher replacement.
- Limited refund exceptions: refund may be approved only in exceptional cases, including duplicate payment, clear billing error, inability of Tutoring Point to provide the paid service for a reasonable period, or cancellation of the service by Tutoring Point before the paid real class begins.
- Refund decision: all refund approvals are at the sole discretion of Tutoring Point management after internal review of attendance, communications, scheduling history, payment records, and service efforts already made.
- Partial deductions: if a refund is exceptionally approved, Tutoring Point may deduct charges for completed classes, completed demo-to-conversion work, administrative handling, gateway charges, taxes, travel expenses, or other genuine service costs already incurred.
- No refund situations: dissatisfaction based only on preference change, exam pressure, student non-cooperation, absenteeism, lack of homework completion, late cancellations, relocation, timetable changes by the family, or unwillingness to continue after booking shall not create a refund right.
7. Student and Parent Responsibilities
- Parents and students must provide accurate academic information, contact details, location details, and any relevant learning or behavioral concerns.
- Students must maintain respectful conduct with teachers and staff in online, offline, and home environments.
- Parents must provide a reasonably safe, appropriate, and interruption-minimized environment for home tuition sessions.
- Tutoring Point is not responsible for academic underperformance arising from irregular attendance, lack of practice, delayed school coordination, or non-compliance with academic guidance.
8. Online Class Rules
- Parents and students are responsible for device readiness, internet access, power backup, and basic platform access for online classes.
- Recording, redistributing, publishing, screen-capturing for commercial use, or misusing class materials without permission is prohibited.
- Tutoring Point may use approved platforms, messaging tools, call tools, and digital materials to deliver services efficiently.
9. Home Tuition Safety and Conduct
- Any harassment, intimidation, unsafe environment, or inappropriate behavior toward teachers or staff may lead to immediate service suspension without refund.
- Tutoring Point may withdraw a tutor from a location if the environment is unsafe, repeatedly inaccessible, or operationally unsuitable.
- Private side arrangements with teachers outside the platform are discouraged and may result in service withdrawal.
10. Intellectual Property
- Website content, branding, notes, worksheets, assessments, videos, and service materials remain the property of Tutoring Point or its licensors unless stated otherwise.
- Such materials are for the enrolled student's personal educational use only and may not be copied, sold, forwarded, or reused commercially without permission.
11. Limitation of Liability
- Tutoring Point provides educational support services and does not guarantee specific marks, ranks, admissions, or examination outcomes.
- To the maximum extent allowed by law, Tutoring Point shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from the use of its services or website.
- Any claim relating to fees or service shall in no event exceed the amount actually received by Tutoring Point for the disputed service period, subject to these terms.
12. Termination and Suspension
- Tutoring Point may suspend or terminate access or services for non-payment, misconduct, misuse, operational impossibility, safety reasons, policy breach, or legal reasons.
- Termination for breach or misuse does not create a right to refund.
13. Privacy and Policy Updates
- Use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy.
- Tutoring Point may update these terms from time to time. The latest version published on the website will govern future use and ongoing service to the extent permitted by law.
- Continued use of the service after policy updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
